Juan and his family have been through a lot in the last three years. Juan lost his wife after a long illness and the cost of trying to get her the best help available left them with several medical bills. Juan and the children have worked through a lot of the issues and are starting over. Best of all, Juan has remarried and the whole family is looking ahead for the first time in a long time. Juan is blessed to have family in the area helping out now and again. Hired in 2008 by Request Foods he is a machinist working 40 plus hours a week.
Juan is doing a wonderful job of raising very good children. They all attend school on the north side of town. Jessica is at Macatawa Bay Middle School, Jacqueline and Jaun Jr. are at Woodside Elementary School.
Currently the Jiminez family lives in a crowded rented apartment that is in need of repair. The apartment is making the children sick due to mold from leaks and dampness in the building. Working down debt from his wife's illness, Juan found it hard to afford other places to live so he turned to Habitat for a hand up.
They are all looking forward to the day they have a home of their own! |
