Communications Coordinator

Job Title: Communications Coordinator


Purpose: The Communications Coordinator position develops and manages the marketing and
communications calendar for the Affiliate (Lakeshore Habitat) and the Holland ReStore. This
role is responsible for telling the story of our ministry through various mediums and
communications channels.


Time Commitment: Part Time Hourly (20 hours per week)
Position includes some evening and weekend commitments, as required


Direct Supervisor: Development Director


Qualifications:
• A strong commitment and passion for the mission of Habitat for Humanity, our local
community and underserved populations.
• 3 years or more professional experience in communications and marketing
• Project management experience
• Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently, a self-starter
• Competence in Microsoft software and internet use
• Non-profit and/or ministry-related work may be helpful
• Working knowledge and experience of social media and website management
• Graphic design, photography and videography experience (preferred)


Duties:
1. Develop and manage the communications and marketing calendar for the ministry
2. Lead ministry communications including print, website and social media for the Affiliate
and the ReStore
3. Annual direct mail preparation and coordination
4. Capture and communicate ministry impact stories
5. Coordinate photography and videography needs for the ministry

Development Coordinator

Job Title: Development Coordinator


Purpose: The Development Coordinator position manages Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity’s
three main fundraising events and coordinates activities related to any third-party fundraising
efforts. The Development Coordinator will develop and manage relationships with local
businesses to gain sponsorships for events and support for Lakeshore Habitat.


Time Commitment: Part Time Hourly (20 hours per week)
Position includes some evening and weekend commitments, as required.


Direct Supervisor: Development Director


Qualifications:
• A strong commitment and passion for the mission of Habitat for Humanity, our local
community and underserved populations.
• 3 years or more professional experience in building and managing relationships with
specific emphasis on sales and/or fundraising
• Project management experience
• Event planning experience with an emphasis on fundraising
• Organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work independently, a self-starter
• Competence in Microsoft software and internet use
• Non-profit and/or ministry-related work may be helpful
• Ability to manage others including volunteers


Main Duties:
1) Manage Lakeshore Habitat’s annual fundraising events. Includes identifying and
leading volunteer committees, securing event sponsorships and developing event
experiences.
2) Cultivate and developing corporate and donor relationships
3) Contribute to ministry communications including print, website and social media
